At Aliviam we specialise in joint viscosupplementation in Majorca, a treatment that consists of the infiltration of hyaluronic acid to reduce joint pain and improve the functional and mechanical condition of the osteoarthritic joint and in particular the knee. Hyaluronic acid is a viscous and elastic substance normally produced by the meniscus of the joint itself. When the degenerative joint symptoms of aging begin, the joint fluid loses hyaluronic acid, making the cartilage more susceptible to frictional and compressive forces.<\/p>

Hyaluronic acid injections have an effect that can last up to 6 months.
